    Where something good happens that's not a lower number on the scale. Looser clothes, having to punch another hole in the belt, etc.

    Stands for Non Scale Victory.
    Seeing what is coming off on the scale is always encouraging but SEEING it in inches ( taking measurements ) or clothes fitting better or someone else noticing that you are getting healthy are all great NSV's .
    Anything can be a NSV ...

    Lol, I'm so gad you asked, I didn't know either, but I usually guess what things mean, so I was thinking it stood for "New Small Victory" -haha, I'm such a nerd. :D

    An example of a NSV for me was realizing that I didn't have to eat a whole pizza and that I was full after only 2-3 slices and pushed the plate away.
