Not a newbie- but a new mindset!

I don't know if "Introduce Yourself" is the appropriate spot for this post... but here it is!

My name is Faith and after 6 months here at MFP I am almost to my initial goal weight! I realize now that I should be lower than my initial gw so I plan on reassessing after I finally meet goal on my current ticker.

I can NOT believe I let myself cart this extra weight around for so long!!! I remember at my highest being skeptical that I even HAD 20 lbs to lose... and here I am after losing 20 lbs realizing that I actually could stand to lose more... I must have been in some kind of sick denial! I actually am a little miffed that I was so jaded about how overweight I was...

Has anyone else come to a similar realization? I would love to have supportive friends who have - or just any supportive friends! I appreciate the MFP community for helping to open my eyes to my eating habits and weight. This is definitely a journey!

    Congratulations!

    It's probably because you've got the motivation and belief that you can do it whereas before you may of been sceptical, don't get too carried away though we don't want you vanishing into thin air ;)

    Totally! I recently dropped my goal weight by 10#. 3 months ago I didn't think it was possible & now I'm wondering why I didn't do this sooner. I feel better than I have in years ! Congratulations on your dedication & weight loss!
