Hi all,

I am on my 11th day of the 30 Day Bikram Yoga Challenge at my yoga studio, and I was wondering if anyone has done it before and has some experience to share? How did you feel after the 30 days, did you hit any walls?

I am loving it, and improving drastically, except that my knees seem to be getting worse and there are now a few postures I cannot do, as opposed to being able to master them a few weeks ago!

I am a dancer and was already flexible before starting Bikram, but feel like instead of getting better at some of the postures, I am getting wose.

My instructor said I may have hyperextended my knees and thats why this is happening but would love to hear other peoples experiences on this.

:)

omg bikram is the toughest workout i've ever done! I used to max at about 3 times a week, i think i did 4 maybe once! I applaud you for doing as much as you have!!!! I love it though it is amazing! I find when you have an injury or just a 'tired' muscle it gets soooo much harder and sometimes impossible. Just keep going the benefits will out weigh everything else

  • I've been doing thr 30 day challenge and I'm now on day eight. I, too, have a similar problem with my knees; I can't "lock it out" for the tree pose and that other pose where you're supposed to extend your leg. I think like all things you have good days and bad days. Give it time.

I love Bikram yoga, have done it 180 day challenge

but i burned out, after that challenge it took me 2 years to go back

for me i noticed regular bikram took away my pains and aches, even fixed my crooked toes, no kidding

but yes not listening to my body was wrong, i did over stretch my muscles

if i did it 4 to 5 times a week it was enough, it fixed my body alignment as well

just went back to bikram yesterday after a two month break!

    i love bikram in moderation!!!
