Are you counting correctly? Doesn't seem like it cause carbs don't magically make you fat...anything in excess pushing you over your calories goals will result in weight gain0 -
No been really good even give up the demon drink on my 2nd week drink free doing 8 weeks in total trying to dry out lol0

Going all cryptic on me with the demon drink and drying out...you referring to alcohol and going cold turkey?0 -
Carbs don't make you fat. Excess total calories do.
That said, people see success at first on low carb diets because of water loss. When they start eating more carbs again, it appears that they gained weight when it's most likely just water.
As long as you are under your maintenance amount of total calories, it doesn't matter if you eat nothing but carbs, you will still lose weight. Google the Twinkie Diet.0 -
I imagine what has happened is that with a lack of carbs mean you have eaten in to your glycogen stores, when you use up the glycogen the body sheds water also (I think the ratio is 1 glycogen to 3 water) so you see a bit drop in weight mainly from the water loss.
Once you build those glycogen reserves back up your body holds on to the water. Therefore you can see big shifts in weight in the short term.0 -

if your going down the low carb route drink a minimum of 2litres of water a day and up your protein as you need to flush your system0

I am exactly the same! since starting full time work I have gone from smoothies and omelettes to cereal and sarnies. I am bloated and appear to have gained a pound. I might start a thread for some low carb lunch ideas!0
