cravings

What do you crave? Have you stopped eating something and suddenly desire it. I had a craving last week for a soft serve ice-cream cone, and because I had the extra calories, I had one.
I've been craving chocolate a bit this week. This morning when I was driving to work, I really wanted biscuits and gravy w/sausage patties. Carby, fatty, nothing worthy - but OOO SOOOO good. I did my best to be have, but I ate a bit more than usual for breakfast.
When I start craving too much, I take a splurge day and eat whatever I haven't been allowing myself.
What do you do when you crave?

I said I was going to be very good with this new meal plan and didn't. In the middle of the night, I ate some candy and gained .6 pounds over night. I keep saying to myself that I am craving. But this morning, I feel bad because it wasn't my cravings, it's my weakness. And I even blame it on my menopause. Yeah Right! I'm going to stop this madness, or I will continue this up and down yo-yo and never get the results and sustain my life. And this is not healthy for me at all. Moving forward, I can think about the things I like, but doesn't mean that I have to give in.0

I'm not a big fan of sweets, but I love salty stuff. Late nights I crave chips like doritos or cheetos, then I just tell myself that everything is Mind Over Matter and that I don't actually need that stuff. So I just forget about it
I guess it's a big plus I never buy that kind of stuff it's alot easier to fight cravings when you don't have the stuff you want right in front of you!

I usually crave chocolate or chips. At first it was really hard to stick with my diet since my roommates leave candy everywhere (three guys who never gain any weight...)! Now I can pretty much just ignore it but I do sneak a piece of candy once in a while.0

When I start having cravings, I plan a 24 hour fast day to re-focus. So far, this has worked wonderfully.
(and, yes, I do also treat myself to some things I like, but in moderation).0 -

This article was interesting.
Splurge days, from what I've been told, aren't bad.
How do you feel about them? I find them helpful with cravings... I eat the stuff I've been wanting, and the next day, I go back to eating well. It helps me with motivation... but I could be wrong and setting myself up for failure.0
