Fondue Substitute
My family's traditional Christmas meal has always been fondue--dipping bread in to cheese sauce and frying meet on a long stick in a deep-fryer. I've always loved this meal until I became a vegan this year and am now dreading the holiday mealtime. I know I could not say anything and just eat it, but based upon previous slip-ups, the meat and cheese will make me sick and damper my holiday spirit.
Does anyone know of any cheese-substitutes that could be used as a suitable fondue sauce? I'm planning on using veggies and bread to dip, but I'm most worried about a sauce.
