Not meeting calories but going over on fat & sugar

Hi everyone,
I'm new to MFP but I've so far lost 4lbs in 3 days just by planning my meals on here and cutting down to the calories suggested (1300). I've not quite got into the exercise yet *shame on me*.
Looking back at my meals I appear to be falling slightly short on my calories, but going over on fat, sugar and cholesterol. I know I'm going over on cholesterol because I LOVE eggs, but only eating 2 a day sends me over the limit. I admittedly do have a sweet tooth and have tried to prepare my meals well to allow for chocolate if I would like one, so there lies the sugar problem. I'm also going over on the fat and occasionally on the protein.
I don't know if I'm obsessing over the numbers too much or if there's something I'm doing/eating which is the problem? Does it matter as much if I overeat a little of each if I still fall short on calories?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Perhaps you can have 2 eggs plus 1 egg white to cut down on the cholesterol some. I, too, struggle with the sweet tooth. That one is hard. Have a healthier, low cal treat like Vitatops or Skinny Cow ice creams. :-)0

I definitely struggle with the sweet tooth! I think that as long as your taking it all in moderation and it's not putting you over on cals you should be okay .... i know people on here that use fruit to satisfy their sweet tooth and they go over on sugars too0

i wouldn't worry too much or at all about your protein intake, you have to cut back on your fat (no chocolate) you can go over on your calories but not by too much. Try having good fats like nuts or have rice cakes if your peckish.0

give yourself some time...your just beginning, as you keep logging your entries everyday, you will get used to how much you can have.
welcome!!!
good luck on your journey!!!0 -
You could switch to egg beaters!
I don't really track cholesterol anymore -- as long as the numbers are good at the doctor every 6 months :I'm more concerned about sugar and sodium.
My favorite "fake sweet" is buying Fage 0% greek yogurt - the plain kind with tons of protein and no sugar. I stir in things like a couple Tbsp of sugar-free pudding mix, a little almond milk so its not too thick and other things like chica seeds and nuts. During the fall, I love to stir in pumpkin and add pumpkin pie spice ... its yummy if you freeze it for a little bit and its good for you.0 -
The suggested percentage on MFP is not that great - you can change it according to your wishes. Mine is set to carbs 40%, fat 30%, protein 30%. Considering the initial MFP setup, you really don't need to worry about going over on fat, and even more on protein. Just don't go over on carbs, actually try to keep them as low as possible, while increasing protein. Will help you not lose muscle, will keep you in the no cravings/hunger zone. Eggs will become your best friends for breakfast.0

no it does not matter0

I say definately give it some time. When I first started logging my food on here I was shocked at how much fat I was consuming...like 2 sometimes 3 times the recommended daily amount. And that's because I was eating a lot of chocolate, eggs, butter and cheese. Once I got that level down, I started to feel so much better, but it took a week or so.0
