How often do you Change Your Treadie?

How often should you replace the tread on your treadmill? I have a commercial treadmill that is 14 years old. I notice the tread is getting smooth,but it still seems fine to me. Should I wait?

    If it seems fine with no tears or curling on the sides you could probably wait. I think it depends more on how often you use it and how much pressure is place on the belt, it will last longer with walking than running.

    I would just make sure it has not tears etc. and make sure you are using the wax stick under it. That is supposed to help with the life of it!
