Does your fat hurt when you do side bends or leg lifts?

Not only does it hurt, it is dense and hard. Because of some medications that I am taking, I have gained 40 pounds in 18 months. One of my biggest surprises is that fat hurts. It hurts when I bend over, or squeeze my arms back or try to do leg lifts and have my heels touch the floor. Has anyone experienced this?
