balancing issues?

so i'm really new to the dieting world and i've been trying to stay as close to the guidelines as i can but i've been having trouble getting enough calories and at the same time i go over in protien, even though i don't eat that much meat. does anyone have any advice?

    I don't really worry about going over on protein or fiber as long as I am okay on calories and fat! I exercise pretty much every day - so i figure I need the protein!
