Are You Still Hungry?

One of the best parts about this program has been that over time, I am less hungry with fewer cravings. Let's see now, it's been just over 6 weeks. I have to check as we had a power failure including interrupted ATT wireless service so I couldn't log in for a day and the counter clock resets if you miss a day.
Are you as hungry as before?
Do you have fewer cravings? More?

I am amazed at how much I used to eat compared to now. I used to HAVE to have breakfast first thing - not a bad thing - but then I would need a snack or 2 before lunch, eat lunch early, then need another big snack or even a whole meal after work at 3pm. Then I would need dinner, and maybe a snack before bed. When I started MFP with my spouse, I would lay in bed wide awake because I was hungry, even if I had just eaten.
Now I take my coffee and breakfast to work with me at 7am, drink my coffee while checking email and get settled, then have breakfast when I am ready. I pack snacks, but don't always need them, and while I still eat lunch early, I am not dizzy and desperate waiting for 11:00 to hit. I like a snack after work, but can go without if I have errands to run or a gym class to hit. I feel so much happier and healthier.
It used to seem impossible to stay within my goal, even when I had exercise calories to eat. Now I stay under, or within 100 without thinking twice. I love the way I look and feel, and that food no longer dictates my day!0 -
The first few days of reducing my portions I felt hungry. I've been doing this now for a few months and I find that I have more energy now that I eat less!0

Overall, I AM satisfied on the amount of foods I get. I must eat some protein throughout the day, including a little with my snacks. I also eat often! I still get "days when I want to eat my own arm off." But, they are few and far between. If I eat very sugary foods, or too many "artificially sweetened" food, I get cravings. I also am learning to recognize that sometimes I have psychological hunger.....have to accept that no amount of food will satisfy that bad bear.0

It's only been about 3 weeks now, but I noticed the first couple of weeks, that, yes, I was still hungry at night, but I tried to ignore it and was successful. I'm realizing this past week I wasn't as hungry as I had been and I'm feeling fuller after meals without overeating. Now I'm at the point where the weight is going to come off more slowly and I have to make sure I don't get down about it and just keep plugging away. Small steps0
