Deciding On A Workout Today!

Hello, MFP! :)

Today I've decided to do a little bit of extra cardio instead of my normal 60 per day, with weights/conditioning, and am deciding between...

1) 50-60 minute various cardio, weights, conditioning = Morning
Campus run around my university = Night
2) 50-60 minute various cardio= Morning
Swimming laps= Night

Which would you do? I am running a 5K in a few weeks, and am trying to prepare well for Thanksgiving so I can enjoy the day guilt free!

  • I would go with the first one! A run around campus really gives you great exercise!

    I'm a swimmer . . so I would definitely say the plan w/ swimming laps. But that's my own personal preference.

    Swimming is the BEST exercise overall. And no impact on the joints.

    If it's a nice night out I'd say go for a nice run around campus. Otherwise I think a lap swim is always a good workout and nice way to switch it up from the 'usual' cardio.

    Haha, I'd mix and match, the first half of 1) and then swimming!
