Digital scale acting weird.. then spilled a little water..

I spilled a little bit of water on my scale about 3 days ago, and now I'm pretty sure the battery's messed up. But the scale has been acting weird even before I spilled the water. My weight (I weigh myself in the bathroom at the same time every day, when I wake up, before I've eaten or drank) was stuck on the same weight for about 4 days (literally to the .5 roundoff), which I found odd, as mine fluctuates often, even when I wake up. Granted I had been eating very consistently at maintenance, but, still. Yesterday I weighed myself in hopes that it went down, as I have resumed eating at weight loss calorie levels again. It went down a pound, then another go-round a few moments later went down *another* lb, then another go-round a few moments later, it went *back up* that original number it has been stuck on. Today it was "stuck" again. When I try the scale at night/after I ate and on soft carpet, it jumps up high, as expected, so the scale appears to be working. I tried weighing heavy objects, seemed fine. My brother tested it and said it is about 6 lbs under what the "electric" scale at his school gym says, though he is an athlete and eats a LOT more than I do. Anyway. This is scary/frustrating!! I really want to start losing again and if I don't know if my cal levels are working, how can I?? I don't get paid til Wednesday, and I really can't afford even 30 bucks for a scale. What do y'all think??

Track what you eat and how you exercise. Trust MFP to guide you to losing weight until you can get another scale. That's what I'd do, anyway. You could probably buy a regular scale for around $12

Oh, and I just realized how lucky I am. I own three scales- one regular one and two digital ones. For some reason.
