"bump"?

will someone please tell me what this means? i see it on here all the time!

    I think it means that it will save it to the My Topics section on top of community so you can read it later.

    We bump a topic to put it on our topics list, and to keep it visible for more people to see.

    It's a way for someone to "bump" the thread to the top of the recent posts list. A lot of folks use it in various forums to keep a topic on the first page.
