I wouldn't bother tracking sugars. Just a carbohydrate to me. Anything other than protein/carbs/fat is looking too much for me
ETA: Yes you are not eating nearly enough from what i looked at. eating that little is going to increase your muscle loss and give you a "skinny fat" look. Not attractive >.<0 -
Yep! I stopped logging sugar because I have so much fruit and have lost.
I focus more on other things like carbs, fats, etc.

you for sure need to eat more! Cutting sugar is not usually a bad idea, but I think the real problem is lack of calories. Eat more to allow your body to function properly and they key is definitely exercise in my experience.0

Okay glad to know I dont have to cut back' on anything thus far... Im going to try and eat more but Im scared of gaining..Honestly Im not used to eating more then this lol.0

In the past week you have hardly even reached 1200 calories a day, and some days your workouts gave you almost 1000 extra!
Eat more, and you will lose, I swear. Don't worry too much about the sugar, just try to keep it coming from fruit and stuff, rather than candy bars, or something like that.0 -
okay just having a hard time incorporating good foods to eat... are there foods that you eat alot that you can recomend?0

people always say veggies.. but are there bad ones? such as sweet potatoes? since there higher in fat?0
-
there are no bad veggies. of course you wouldnt want to sit and eat 10 lbs of sweet potatoes a day - but a wide variety off all vegetables will be beneficial. afaik theres no fat in sweet potatoes, unless youre adding butter/sugar etc

even white potatoes aren't too bad- its what people add to them that are! definitely fruits and veggies are always great to add. And whole grains!!0

This is all such a learning experience.. although I added veggies last night I added baked chips to eat my calories.. now Im kicking myself in the butt... there high in carbs and I went over... this is such a science! yikes!0

You'll get it. I still manage to have extra calories because I don't eat my calories back, although I'm thinking that I'll get in the habit.0

It's only a science if you want to overcomplicate things! First of all, sit down as ask yourself what are you after? Is it simply to lose some fat, or are you trying to be super fit and toned?
If it's simply about losing some pounds, I'd ignore cabs/sugar/fat, and just watch your calories. Keep a small deficit, exercise, and eat all/some/none of those calories back, and that's it. That's all it takes. No science, no complications. That's how i do it at the moment.
If you want to actually get 100% healthy, then you start to look more deeply, and I'd be out of my depth helping you with that :P0 -
you do want to be careful with your sugars - even if they are from natural sources you want to eat as close to clean and natural as possible and stay away from processed foods.
You do want to eat - not eating enough will deprive your body of the nutrients it needs and can inhibit weight loss.
Something to think about - you want to exercise while eating right...by doing so you will hopefully be burning fat and ramping up using your muscles (for women it is harder to "build" muscle because of our lack of lots of testosterone in our bodies)...take measurements of key parts of your body or use a pair of jeans that are to small on you right now as more a gauge..I say this because I have been working out and watching what I eat for many, many months and actually just finished up a 21 day whole food cleanse - in total from all those many months and the whole food cleanse I have only lost 6 lbs...BUT my body shape has changed A LOT from eating right and working out - I have people who havent seen me in a while remark how much weight I have lost...which hasn't been much...but I have been burning the fat from my body which makes a HUGE difference....a lb of fat and a lb of muscle weigh the same - but a lb of fat takes up so much more VOLUME than muscle...so while loosing only a bit of weight at time may seem so annoying if you are doing it the right way with a good proper diet and exercise what you are hopefully doing is burning away your excess fat and ramping up your muscles...0 -
Thank you ladies, okay so I started eating my calories the other day as mentioned and finaly lost half a lb! I also think as you said- last comment about testostrone and muscles have alot to do with it.. I gain alot of muscle so maybe thats the other thing? my husband said Im looking smaller so maybe I am losing just not in pounds in size
either way Im going to take all the advice I can get and not make it so complicated just watch my calories and make sure Im eating what I have listed per day.

Exactly - as you are exercising and eating right you will hopefully burn away any fat deposits your body has - this is why it is very important you incorporate strength training into your workouts - not just cardio - you want to utilize your muscles...since fat takes up more space than muscle - loosing just a few lbs may make a huge difference in your body shape and the way you look. This is why it is important not to just focus on the numbers on the scale but rather your overall body composition - taking key measurements or using a piece of clothing to gauge how your exercise/eating habits are working for you.
So even if it takes a while to loose 5 lbs - if that is 5 lbs of fat that you have burned off your body...you are going to see a difference...0
