I started the keto diet this week and I have lost a total of 5.3 lbs. I have been doing a low cal diet since June, and had lost weight but started to plateau. It has been a rough week trying to get use to the new diet, but I'm excited about the results and I'm going to stick with it.0

I've been keto-ing for a month and a half now, and all the weight I've lost is from it. I'm really enjoying it. It's really just made me realize that bread is really boring. When you hit your goal weight, remember to either stay on keto or have a really good exit plan.0

what you guys food you eat like?
im having trouble eating Fat all the time. first day and i ate eggs cheese ground beef repeatedly0 -
I have been eating bacon or ham for breakfast; steak, hamburger, bacon as meat for lunch, and same for dinner. I do salads with full fat ranch. If you fix you steaks on the stove, put a little REAL butter in the pan. Real butter has 0 carbs. I add goat cheese in moderation to steaks, feta cheese to salads, and slice cheese to hamburger patties.
You can look at my food diary for this week to see what all I had this week. Avocados have fat in them.0 -
I used to think I was a carb addict until I started reading this thread... my mouth was watering thinking about cheese, steak, eggs, bacon... /drool... i think I am really a fat addict and carb-based foods was just the vehicle for it... LOL0

Ahhh you've scorned me bread as boring! No... well made homemade bread, is never EVER boring. Mmm warn fresh french bread with jam and butter.0 -

Thank you soooooo much! I wanted REAL information and didn't want to waste time looking though unresearched blogs and health magazine articles. (I was worried someone was going to be a punk and give me a "Let Me Google That For You" link.) Thanks a lot. You rock my world!!

Just joined this site today, glad to see fellow Keto'rs on here.
Started Keto 1 month ago, lost 6kg so far, running and doing weight training more than ever with no noticable muscle loss or energy dips; loving it. If anyone has advice on my food diary, I would appreciate it as I'm still learning. (Most of my carbs are from weekday breakfasts as I have no time to cook in morning: greek yoghurt + berries, with eggs/bacon/cheese on weekends).
Only downsides:
I had 2 weeks of "keto-flu" quite bad, feel fine now.
Some bad breath and body smells, but its getting better.
Hard to not appear rude when I decline pasta/rice/desserts when going round friend's/family for dinner.
Food bill has gone up a bit. meat/dairy is more expensive than grains/rice.0 -
I agree, exp for the body odor part, did not get that, lol
also, make sure you have a scale, i brought a g/oz/lb. it is important to measure in this diet. as for lifting, i am no longer slugshi when i squat, bench deadlift, or even pull ups, but weight has gone down dramatically since i started the diet and was off form lifting for 1 month.0
