beautiful vs. sexy

how many people think that a beautiful person is sexy vs a sexy person being beautiful.
i like to think that beauty is what you make it. you can be funny and charming along with caring and thus making you beautiful.
and sexy to me would be having a nice body, but a nice body doesnt entitle you to beauty,
have i confused you?

    It's awfully hard to be sexy without being... erm... trashy? >.> I think, anyway. I guess to some men there's no difference there, but to each his own. lol. I think there are many things about men and women that can be sexy that don't involve physical aspects at all. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. :smile:

    I agree with you on that and you did not confuse me but i do need and asprine and a hug because I now know i have never been sexy :(

    I think you can be beautiful and sexy without being trashy. It all depends on how you carry yourself and what you choose to wear.

    i ammmmm sooooo sorry.i honestly meant it as beauty is better to me than sexy. but being beautiful to me is sexy. idk i think ive confused myself there.

    Beautiful is something or someone you like to gaze upon. Sexy is someone who inspires lustful thoughts. People can be one or the other or both.

    Oh I gotcha. lol. Yes, I think being beautiful (inside and out!) is better than being sexy, and yes I agree with you there. Being beautiful is sexy in itself. When you're beautiful inside and out, and you know it, you don't have to flaunt it or show it off, and that is something that demands respect and attention. That is a certain kind of power in a woman that is rare, and yes, sexy.

    That's totally up to you. Some people think they are sexy and they can still be overweight compared to today's standards. Some people are sexy and beautiful but they have a nasty attitude which makes them the ugliest people ever. There is no way to get an exact answer for this question.

    I don't know about you but...as I have gotten older I much prefer to be referred to as beautiful rather than being called sexy. Beautiful is much more pleasing to ears I like to think. :)

    A beautiful woman does not have to be a size 6 to be beautiful. It is her inner strength, integrity, compassion and resolve that make her beautiful and give her confidence. She knows who she is and her true worth. This confidence makes her sexy.

    About sexy being trashy, I beg to differ. Sexy is not always about a short skirt.

    There are woman who carry themselves with the utmost respect and dignity whom men find ultimately sexy because they know who they are, command respect and hold their heads high. No short skirt needed :)

    This is more or less what I was trying to say! I don't think there are many women out there who know what sexy is all about, in truth. It is not necessarily sexy to have all your bits hanging out for everyone to see, but there are women (and men) who do think that is sexy. That's just my opinion though, as I said, to each his own! :)

    I think of sexy more of a physical thing but beautiful is everything. I don't think you can have a sexy personality, but you can dress sexy (and that doesn't always mean skanky) and she can act sexy, but beauty comes from the inside. You can be beautiful on the outside even if you're not sexy. And just because you're sexy doesn't mean you're beautiful.

    I also agree about "a beautiful woman is often sexy". I think sexy is also how you carry yourself and often when you're confident you carry yourself differently than if you're shy and think you're not pretty.

    I think that makes sense?? And I think I said everything I was trying to say. lol

    Being beautiful has a lot to do with a person's personality. Sexiness, from my experience, is mostly about confidence. Both men and women tend to think women are sexier when they appear confident. Of course having a rocking bod helps, but confidence is definitely a key ingredient.

    I will make it simple however

    Sexy for a woman is 80% physical 20% the way she talks and her mannerisms

    Beautiful gets a bit more philosophical it's a combination of looks, personality, morality, education, humour etc
