After weight loss toning?

I think I'm finally at the point where my weight loss is pretty much done (I've lost over 50lbs go me!). I'm 130 at 5'7'' and I would be willing to lose 5lbs more but I feel pretty good about myself (plus my boyfriend thinks I'm getting too skinny, maybe I am).
Anyway maybe I dont need to lose more but just increase muscle, but I really dont know how. I've spent my entire yoyo dieting life with burning as many calories as possible and managing my food. Weights and toning is a new world to me.
Does anyone know a good website for beginners interested in weight training? Or just general advice. Both my little brother and sister have natural abs (luckies!) but I think with a little work I could too so I would like to especially focus on abs, but of course everything else too.
Any help?

Starting Strength.
You will need some training to learn to do some of the lifts properly, but it's a great program.

Buy and read this book:
The New Rules of Lifting for Women by Lou Schuler
I was a newbie to weight training too. AWESOME book. Best $10 I've ever spent. It will clearly lay out an effective work-out and educate you on proper form, technique and is very informative. It's a super easy read and even addresses nutrition. READ IT!!!!

The ladies in the 2000 calories group love New Rules of Lifting (for women, if you prefer, although the workout program is the same)0

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. My butt never looked better than when I was squatting. It leans out your legs and makes them stronger, your butt gets perky and amazing, and it helps your arms and core get slimmer and stronger too. Its super simple, not too time consuming, and you only work out 3 times a week.
Plus you look like a badass lifting weights like that I can even send you the e-book if you want!0 -

Totally love the sound of this! Could you send me the e-book? I'm not really sure how that works but I have a kindle and a nook.0 -
I would say that you are definitely to a point where you do not need to lose anymore weight. And toning would be a great thing to start. Being skinny doesn't mean a whole lot if you're not healthy, you know? My advice would be to find a good local gym and instead of going straight to the free weight area, use the machines! There are machines for virtually every muscle and they are super easy to use and quite safe. Start at a fairly easy weight and work on getting a lot of reps. Then the stronger you get, start adding weight. Faster reps with lower weight will tone while heavier weight will build a muscle foundation. That will help you keep the muscle and strength. As a female, I would work on the following regions most: triceps, inner thighs, upper thighs/hips, abs, and butt. Great lifts for these areas are the Hip Abductor, Leg Press, and Ab curls. Also, when doing crunches, its best to be elevated off the ground a bit so that you can extend down farther. That will work your lower abdomen which is where women tend to have the most fat.0

good job on the weight loss. If you want to add muscle you need to do weight training, increase protein in your diet, and be slightly above your maintenance calories.0
