Or is there.

For example.

If I walk for 1 hour and burn 600 calories or Do the Strength machines for 1 hour and burn 600 calories... Is there more value, per say, to the calories burned during strength training?

I hope i explained myself correctly... :embarassed:

only in the long run...strength training will "usually" give you more muscle mass and muscle burns more calories to be maintained than fat....but for the short term, burn em anyway you can

Well, I guess it depends on the machines, but if your talking about weight training vs cardio (which I think you are) then the idea generally is cardio in the 65 to 75% max heart rate range (for most people) is the best way to burn fat (there are better, but they are more advanced and difficult) where as weight training is better when trying to maintain a weight but add better definition or add weight in the form of muscle.

That doesn't mean you have to be exclusive, you can add a little weight training in with your cardio to keep your muscle density up, but you don't need a lot to do that, vice versa, you can add some cardio to your weight training routine just to keep your lung capacity, cardiac output, and endurance levels up.
