A question mostly for men . . .

Is it really necessary for men to grunt while working with free weights or on circuit training? I am being totally serious; there is a man that is at the gym every Sunday morning that sounds like he is giving birth to a 12 pounds turd. Last week it was so annoying that I quit my work out and left the gym, toady I turned up my music and was ALMOST able to drowned out his annoying grunting.
I can understand grunting, but this guy is way over the top!
