Hey once in while I may have something bad like a small desert or something but if I still stay under my calorie limit does it hurt my weight loss even if I remain under my daily calorie limit

as long as you are staying under your limit, it doesn't hurt to treat yourself now and then to keep you from going crazy!0

"Bad" foods are only bad if you eat them in excess. As long as you're not eating a pound of ice cream or 5 twinkies at one time, your body will handle it. And as long as you're under calories, you won't gain weight.0

My personal opinion is what are the calories from and what else is in it? Some people have the willpower to abstain completely from naughty things, I am not one of those people.0

a calorie isn't a calorie and that's because quality is greater than quantity when it comes to feeling satisfy and nutrition wise. By this I mean, you can eat a piece of cake that has the exact amount of calories as a piece of steak, but the cake does not nearly contain the nutritional value as a steak. You eat a cake and within 1/2 or 1-hr you'll be hungry, hence if you eat the steak it will satisfy for 3-4 hours or even longer. Yes, you can have your indulgences once in a while and that should not hinder your goals. But wouldn't you rather sacrifice a little longer and stay away from foods that maybe got where you in the first place?0

I say "there is no "bad" food only "bad" portion sizes". Unless said food leads to bad portion sizes. Eat and enjoy.0

be careful with sat/fat, carbs and sugar. even if your numbers are safe those calories will end up in places you really don't want them. esxercise to burn that junk off.0

I don't believe there's "good" foods/"bad" foods....just choices...and some are more nutritious than others.
And it's up to us to make the wise ones.
Now starting out breakfast w/ a bunch of empty calories/very little nutrition isn't the BEST choice,
but having a snack in between healthy meals/end of the day- in moderation- if you aren't sabotaging your
own hard work to LOSE weight- is just that....a snack/a treat for the NUMEROUS taste buds in our mouths0 -
You can do this once in a while, however have too many days like that and even if your under your caloric count for the day, you will gain weight. The bad food is usually higher in fat. The body will look to the fat you intake before it looks to your body fat for weight loss.

Why does a dessert have to be "bad." It's NOT the food that's "bad" in most cases...it's the AMOUNT that's the problem. Carbs are not "bad" it's the amount and how much refined, sugar is ok - again it's the amount. EVERYTHING in MODERATION, unless it is something you have sworn off or against your health goals.0
