Please.

Im just having a moment.

So the site recommends you eat all it suggests you do, for your day, be what ever the diet limit is for you..

Mines sitting at 2210 or so. I have been more under that, then not. So why is my fat *kitten* still a fat *kitten*, am i going to have to drop it lower, to see a difference. OH and yeh my body went on a dead slow a year ago. And im still trying to teach my self, to eat more healthy...Though i spend my day on feet, for a few days aweek, it takes 5 days, or so it seems, to be able to move again..

Sigh, i think i need to revise my thinking... on top of that, other sites, recommend 200 calories, less then what the site here allows... Yes i know you have heard this often. Advice here, or in my mail box is fine. Just dont whine about another newbie and not knowing stuff. Cause i will admit, i dont know stuff.

Help.. please... And dont look at yesterdays menu..lol i was craving bread after not having it through the week

Looks like you have lost 8.8ish lbs so far. Thats pretty awesome! My scale is moving incredibly slow, but my clothes feel waaaay better! Could you be losing inches from exercise? I eat my cals. If I didn't I would starve. I try to only eat back half of my exercise cals though. I am allowed 1200 a day.
  • Unless you are a really active person, you calorie count seems high. Are you a really active person? This could be the problem when you first set up your profile, check your profile for info that you input the first time, you may have to adjust your information. If everything is right, then I don't know what to suggest.

I have 1200 cal each day and if I do a moderate exercise of 2 hours of walking then I can gain another 552 cal to eat if I choose. So even if I do my exercise I don't take the additional 552 cal, I stick to the 1200 allotted by the MFP calculator, I've only been here 1 week, but I've lost 3 lbs todate sticking to the 1200. Hope this helps.

Everything takes time, just stick to it and don't get discouraged.

I try to eat between my calories (1370) and my exercise cals. More often that not I eat between 1200 and 1400 and that is giving me a pound a week loss. I think it depends on individuals but I am happy with that rate. And don't worry we were all new at some point!

Sorry honey, but the quality of your food is as important as the number of calories.

Cut down on the cookies, chocolate and pizza (and the bread) and get some more fruit and veg and lean meat.

Are you measuring and weighing everything before you log it? I have found that I eat way more calories than I think I do when I just try to eyeball the serving size as opposed to measuring or weighing the food.

Regarding your calorie goal, it depends on what criteria that you put in to the calculator, so you may want to take a look at this. There are also other sites with calculators you can use, so you can customize your calorie goal and not use the MFP default one.

I use a "sedentary" setting and then add my exercise calories burned (I use a HRM) to my daily totals to eat back the excercise caloreis. That just makes it easier than trying to estimate your activity level with these calculators, in my opinion.
