i have set my end goal to 8st 5lb, that will be 100lbs off. with that i have set some mini goals, start weigh is 15st 9lb,(but in 2003 i went up to 16st 9lb and lost 3 stone on WW and then gave up with the diet )i alco made a promise to myself i would never ever get that big again.

My first mini goal is 14 stone and i have set a deadline to do this for xmas, im 11lb off that at the mo, with my 40th birthday just 2 weeks after xmas.

The 2nd mini goal is 12st 6lb. this will be the hardest as i have never been under 13 stone in over 21 years, i hope to do this by july when we go on our road trip to France on the motorbikes

And the 3rd mini goal is to get to 9st13lb (cos that is under 10stone)i would so love to do this by my hubbys 50th birthday in November next year.

My goal is just to look good and feel healthy. I don't have any specific time frame in mind, but I would prefer it happen sooner rather than later.

I don't set goals for myself, it just allows me to get depressed and then go off. I've decided I need to be more healthy in my life. I try to eat 3 meals a day ++ snacks along the way. That is a BIG change from the basically ONE meal a day ++ grazing.
I've joined a gym back on the 1st of October. On November 1st, I got measured and weight'd. I don't weight myself at home, I refuse to be a slave to the scale. All I know is that I try to work out 4-5 times per week and I get kinda bummed if I'm not able to do that.

The weight will come off, I know it will. It's going to take as long as it take.
I wish you a wonderful journey on the path to a healthier lifestyle....

I always set goals. My goal is to lose 1 to 2 pounds per week. If I lose one pound per week I'll reach my goal of a 100 pound loss in two years and if I lose 2 pounds per week I'll be at my goal of 136 pounds sometime In october 2012. If I lose it more slowly it will take me up to October 2013. It has always been pretty easy for me to lose weight but now that I'm 52 years old my metabolism may have slowed down so i set two goals. Another one of my goals is to learn to love exercise, sports or physical activity again. I want to build my strength, endurance, flexibility and breathing capacity. I want to be smaller than my husband, much smaller. To wear a size 6 or 8, to be the normal size for my bone struction. I bet your sorry you asked. lol

I want to run a 5 K faster and run races of increasing length at respectable times. I want to look (more) hot nekkid. I want to lift heavier weight. I'd like to get to a smaller size (NSV today on that one).

I want to walk down a street knowing that if someone hassles me I can take him (generally him) and make him regret it. Even if that means he regrets it in blood spilled on the street. (For the record, I've talked myself out of the only fair fight I got in. I aim to make all the fights fair now)

When my husband and I were courting, I needed to move several heavy 1960's era metal desks from one room of the community center I ran to a different room. He commented that he needed a break more often than I did, and apparently, he put his side down and I kept holding mine up until he was ready to go. More recently, I'm stopping us on hikes and XC skiing trips, though I've been running and he hasn't, so we'll see what this next season brings.

Myfitnesspal has been a blessing to me, because as I've been here and gotten to know my awesome friends and others through the newsfeed and on the boards, I've gone from trying to punish my body into being smaller and to make up for my eating to wanting to be fitter in order to enhance the life I lead. To really enjoy myself more.

I hope you reach your weight loss goals, or that on the way you adjust them into goals that reflect how you see things differently as you go along.

Weight loss goals are legitimate (I wanted to be sure you didn't feel I was judging you by expressing how I view myself) and I hope you find success.

I have achieved 2 of my mini goals already: ONEderland and an overweight BMI. My next goal in 50 lbs lost and healthy BMI. :) no date set for either one, I feel that is too discouraging for me.
