i wanted to ask how can a person run-jog for a really long time with out stopping like 30min ?
i was running-jogging for 30seconds top but in a week or 2 am able to do 5mins non stop any tips for me to go over the 5min thing ?

I was probably on week 1 for almost 5 months. it eases you into it. you want to work on your endurance first. go as slow as you can. don't stop! even if you can walk faster, just keep going.0 -
I agree with couch to 5k. It eases you into the plan. I would also recommend working on your breathing. I found that when I first started running that I'd get side cramps from breathing too hard and fast. Now that I've slowed my breathing I find it much easier to push on. The first mile is always the worst, but then you get into a rhythm.0

I definitely recommend http://www.c25k.com/ as well. I went from hating running to loving it. Stick with it though...it doesn't matter if you repeat weeks, as long as you keep going.0

It's best to ease into it, which is great about the Couch 2 5K program (C25K). That hardest thing once you're there is getting over the mental hump. Just like a lot of sports running is 80% mental.

I am doing the c25k, too. I am at week 8 and I'm loving it! I really helped me getting back in shape and gaining resistance again.0

and i thought u need to breath fast ? didnt think that u need to breath slow and from time to time i get that side pain like sweebeesmom (side cramps) so Sweebeesmom its better to breath slow ?0 -
