For markers used on hard surfaces such as desks or tables, use a toothbrush and toothpaste to rub it in until the mark disappears. Works wonders!

To remove blood from clothes, make a paste of cornstarch and cold water and apply to the bloodstain. Let dry, then brush the paste off the clothes. Repeat if the stain isn't completely gone. I was wearing a pair of canvas shoes once and cut my heel and this took the blood right out of the shoe.

    TRICK FOR CLEANING PLASTIC DISHES

If you need to clean stains from plastic dishes, rub them
well with baking soda as you would if you were using a
scouring powder. you can use bleach to remove tea, coffee
and juice stains, but bleach ruins the finish of some
    plastic dishes.

When making a roast chicken, prick 2 lemons with a fork and place in the cavity of the chicken while it is baking. It creates a really flavorful and juicy chicken.

And, putting your Thanksgiving turkey in a nice brine (like the apple cider brine I use) makes it almost impossible to dry it out.

Lettuce loves fat: Fat can be removed from hot soup by
floating a large lettuce leaf on the surface. Remove and add
    more leaves if necessary.

    My fav......

    To clean your microwave.
Place 1/2 cup of water in the center, turn on for 3 minutes.
Be careful when removing as it will be boiling hot.
Use a glass sponge( a sponge on the end of a stick!) to clean out the inside

I am short and my micro is on a high shelf. It is so easy now to clean it!

If someone has blood stains on their clothes, they've got bigger issues than laundry.

In order to clean a burnt pot or pan, pour in some water mixed with apple cider vinegar and bring to a boil. The more burnt the pan - the more vinegar that will be needed. Works wonders!

Also I have heard for a sting, that you can place a banana peel (inside) on it and it will alleviate the sting as well.

Co worker tried it and said that it worked.

To de-skunkify a pet that's been sprayed, forget the tomato juice, rub toothpaste over the affected area/s, let sit, then rinse clean.

My dogs used to always get it in the face (we had a skunk family living under our shed when I was a kid), toothpaste ALWAYS worked. Paste, not gel.

    oooh! I have another one

Apply duct tape to planter's warts. Leave on for 2 weeks. (if it falls off in the shower, dry the area, then replace the tape) The wart will literally fall off. The lack of oxygen will kill it.
