Just heard the DJ on my local radio station say:
"The #1 sign you are getting dumped is your girlfriend starts losing weight."
And......................... discuss.

Don't have a girlfriend >.<
What am I doing wrong?!0 -
Fact. It was on the radio... it must be.0

It happened that way for me, but that wasn't my plan when I initially started to lose the weight. Along the way I realized that he was a big part of why I'd gained it to begin with, so I had to cut my losses.0

Well, they do say that after you get comfortable with someone you let yourself go. I guess if you find someone else you want to be "pretty" for you start working to get in a better shape that they might appreciate. Fortunately the girl I'm interested currently prefers bigger guys so I get to do this all for me, also since I am single I don't have to worry about breaking anyone's heart by not being fat anymore. :-D0

I can see why some might think this.
However, I'm losing weight for myself and my health, not to impress some bit on the side.
Besides, with all the working out and cooking I've added into an already busy life, I don't have time to entertain another man, one is quite enough to clean up after! :laugh:0 -
My boyfriend is super sexy and I just want to match0

I think that when a woman or man starts feeling better about themselves, they cut losses when they are in a bad relationship. I've been married 6 years and have no intention of leaving my husband, we just want to have a second baby and be healthy for it. But I can say that when I was dating, when I stopped dating a guy, I lost a lot.0

My wife will disagree with this survey as she says the #1 sign will be the disappearance of said girlfriend...0

I would think the number one sign would be actually getting dumped...that would clue me in, right there0

technically now it's made the internets...is your mind blown?0 -

This is such a crock. The FACT is yo Shose to gain the weight. WAKE UP.0 -
I don't really think women lose weight to get a new man. I think what happens is a woman loses weight, her man gets all pissy and insecure about it, they end up going their separate ways, she finds a new man, and the old one blames it all on the new guy. In my experience, the same thing happens when you start to make more money than he does. Recipe for disaster.0

I've always lost a lot of weight right AFTER dumping someone, not in preparation!
But I see the dj's point - if you're too chicken to dump someone without another guy lined up then sure, you'd want to be "hotter" haha0 -
Lol. I just imagined guys all over the nation listening to this radio station and then shooting suspicious looks over at their girlfriends, who at this time are probably exercising away all innocently. XD0
-
Oh not for me thanks, my man is too hot to let go!..hehe
But it is true in some cases; you do feel better about yourself, then you notice other guys checking you out and you want to test the waters...0 -
Have a friend whose husband suddenly started losing weight and dressing nicer. Turned out he had met someone and was planning to get a divorce and pursue the other woman once he was in shape. Thankfully, my friend figured it out and they worked everything out - they are still married.
I would say barring any other significant reason (doc told them to do it etc.) someone 'suddenly' becoming interested in losing weight can certainly be a warning sign of issues in the relationship.0 -

Love this!..lmao0 -
For me, I am losing weight so that I can be sexy for my husband. He is smokin' hot and I just can't stand that I let myself go. I am doing for myself, but for him too.0

I think it could be a sign but I also think it could be because you don't want your partner to get tired of seeing you lazy and fat.0
-
Funny, but kinda crappy, too. I'm losing weight for ME. No desire to replace the bf. He's my world.0
