Make my ABS hurt!

I'm looking for something that will seriously make my abs hurt. I can do a variety of crunches for what seems like eternity, but I can't get sore from it. Any advice for workouts that will help?

have you tried planks?? or boxing/kickboxing?? or crunches over a yoga ball??0

Punch yourself in the stomach. Repeat.
Seriously, your abs aren't being worked, because you're probably not doing the exercise properly. The function of the abdominal muscles is to stabilize the spine. So if you're not flexing your spine, you're not working the abs directly. When you keep their spine neutral during "ab" exercises, you're working your hip flexors directly, the abs are only being worked isometrically.0 -
I guess I'm not an advocate for hurting yourself, but I do like Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 for ab work. You'll feel it. :laugh:0

Pilates has made my abs burn like never before. Results started showing after about 3 weeks (2 - 1hr classes a week). The burn is always the next day even more so during the second class of the week!!0

Try doing this for 3 sets of 10 reps every day and work your way up from there. They're awesome!
