I am new to this sight but not to diet and excerise. But this is the first time that I've seen a diet/calorie counter add what you burned off in the gym back on to your intake. I understand you are suppose to eat more when you excercise but when I burn off 400-500 cal working out am I really suppose to eat all of that back? A little confused, would like some feedback! Thanks!

I've been eating most of them and it's worked really great for me. I use a heart-rate monitor to get the most accurate calorie burn estimate possible so I feel okay eating them. If I had to use MFP's estimates I'd be scared to eat them all b/c a lot of people notice that the MFP estimates are really high. I think it's a good idea to eat at least part of them b/c your body needs extra energy and nutrition when you're active, if you're going to try to eat most or all of them I think using a HRM is the best way to go so you don't have to worry about overestimating what you've burned and possibly unintentionally overeating the calories.0
