I have noticed a lot of muscle building in my quads really well. I do squats, stair master and walking, and the elliptical. I am starting to see a lack in my hamstrings though. Do you guys know of any good exercises i can do to build muscle in my hamstrings, or even a website that may help?

Ditto on the stiff legged deadlifts, great for the hamstrings and strengthens the lower back, just keep good form while performing this.

Squats will work your hams but you have to do down to parallel to engage them effectively

    Barbell Hip Thrusts
    Cable Pull Throughs
    Conventional Deadlifts
    Romanian Deadlifts

    These are my go tos.
  • Straight leg dead lifts! I tend to do light legs because I run a lot, but I usually do lunges, curtsy lunges, squats, and straight leg dead lifts.
  • If you have a machine at your gym try the seated leg curls - that really isolates your hamstrings!

Why do you lighten the load because you run?

Quoted for emphasis. Make sure you go all the way down when squatting.

my favorite exercise for the hamstrings....sprints. all out for 15 seconds at a time-type sprints.
  • Romanian Deadlifts
    Barbell Lunges
    Lying/Kneeling Leg Curl
    Step Lunges w/Dumbbells

My leg exercises are always changing, but these are my staples I incorporate on leg days.
