Side dishes? Why not main dishes? I love veggie soups and stir-fries. Sautee vegetables with chili powder and lime juice, and you have a delicious filling for tacos. Or sautee vegetables with garlic and top them with a poached egg. I could go on and on...0

Lots of ideas for main dishes but want some more ideas for sides that are tasty.0

:drinker: Cabbage Salad:drinker:
1/2 head cabbage, sliced thin
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup craisins
1 packet chicken flavored ramen noodles, crushed a little
1 cup cooked chicken breast (optional)
Dressing:
1/2 cup olive oil
1 Tbls apple cider vinegar
1 Tbls white sugar
ramen noodle seasoning packet
Mix dressing ingredients well,
let the dressing set while prepping the salad veggies.
Toss all ingredients together.
Stir dressing again before drizzling over veggies - mix salad well.

I bought some jumbo yams the other day (they're just like smaller yams/sweet potatoes lol) and I made sweet potato fries out of them, I baked them in the oven. I also cooked them in a very small amount of butter until soft and put honey and cinnamon on top. I make "fried rice" with any veggies I have, brown rice, egg and some soy sauce/hot sauce that's very good. I boil the rice, and sautee the veggies and add the egg at the end. I'm a broke college student, so that's what I eat when I'm low on cash0
