So I have recently started watching my carb intake. However there are times when i am not sure what I should eat because it seems that many foods are very high in carbs. What do you all like to eat that are low in carbs
Thank you all for your ideas in advanced )

lots of Lean meats, veggies , cheese and fruit (some fruit is higher in carbs than other, so you have to watch that)
Depending on how low your carb intake is you can be pretty flexible. If I do a higher carb day (Generally 100g day) I can even have a couple piece of bread if I really want.0 -
I am doing Paleo..which is a low carb diet. I do between 50-100 a day..and most are from veggies..which is fine. I do not do any bread/pasta/grains...ect..just clean food..0

There are a lot of great recipes out there on the Paleo & Primal sites / groups / threads. You can also search under Atkins and/or South Beach.
Low-carb, high-protein foods:
steak, pork, chicken, fish, shrimp, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, leafy greens like spinach & kale, above-ground veggies (like asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, brussels sprouts, squash)
Avoid or eat in small amounts:
all grains (wheat, corn rice), starches, below-ground veggies (carrots, potatoes), sugary fruits
Great snacks: cheese cubes / wedges, pork rinds, beef jerky, hard-boiled eggs, nuts (esp. almonds), Greek yogurt (I buy it plain & then use a little crystal light or a flavored protein powder or sugar-free jello mix or fruit spread to flavor it).
Good lower-carb substitutions:
Make a "sandwich" by wrapping the filling in a lettuce or cabbage leaf, instead of using bread.
Use shredded or finely chopped cauliflower instead of potatoes or rice.
Bake using flaxmeal or protein powders instead of flour (check out Atkins' Muffin in a Minute recipes, they're awesome).
Snack on kale or spinach chips instead of potato chips.
Make mini-pizzas on large portabello mushroom slices instead of on English muffins.
When eating out, I order a steak or a burger, and eat it without bread / bun. Instead of fries or baked potato, go with steamed broccoli or asparagus and/or a salad. Dressing on the side so you can control the amount. No croutons or crackers.
There are lots of us on here, don't be afraid to ask for help, and do search the previous threads 'cause there's a lot of good advice here already. Good luck!0 -
Hey there. I'm a big carb watcher! I actually have to boost my carbs some days.
It's easy, don't eat bread, rice, pasta etc! Check out my diet if you like0
