I've been dieting for quiet a few months and have good weight loss. Also walking everyday for 35/45 minutes. I don't feel I have changed my eating habits but recently have been feeling hungry which hasn't been the case since I started dieting. Should I consider upping my daily intake. I'm at about 1800/2000 calories a day.

depends on your goals, maybe you need more protein

Around 26 lbs left to lose? Your deficit should be about 500 cals per day now... so whereever that puts you. In other words, aim for a 1 lb/ week loss.

    Great work so far!

i'm always hungry this time of year.

i've often wondered if part of this is an evolutionary drive to store fat before the winter famine. after all, food being available all of the time is a situation that is less than one hundred years old. for tens of thousands of years, it was exactly the opposite.

Could be the weather... I don't know about you but I always seem to feel hungrier when it gets colder! Good luck!

i looked at your diary and looks like you are often over in fat and carbs and under in protein...i wonder if you would feel better if you cut down on some of the fat and carbs and increased protein. i am not a dietician and i don't know what you are doing for exercise but it is just a thought

oops...just re=read your post and saw that you are walking (sorry, missed that part!)
  • You could try staying at the same calories and holding out 100-200 from a meal to eat later when the hunger pangs hit. Since I went to the 6 mini-meals seems I'm always eating. I'm never hungry that's for sure.
