Tailbone Pain?

So I was doing Level 2 of 30DS, specifically the first portion of ab exercises lying flat on the floor. I sat up and as I went to stand up, I felt something 'strange' in my tailbone. Not really a pop or anything, but it just felt odd for a second. Now it's sore...not like shooting pain or anything severe, but more annoying than anything.

What possibly could I have done?! I was simply sitting up from laying down, then went to stand up. I could understand if I fell and bruised it (I did that as a kid), but rolling up into a sitting position from laying down?

I had this once...I broke my coccyx bone while jumping from a parachute! Pain was terrible and I had to sit on one of those tubes for a couple of months. Its been alright ever since (its been 14 years!).

The only cure is to sit on a surface so that your tail bone does not touch the ground.......! Ouch!

I had something similar happen, I had been unloading the dishwasher and when I turned around to put a dish away I felt something shift, for lack of a better term. It turned into quite a painful ordeal that lasted for over 2 weeks. When I researched tailbone issues I found that sometimes it can be the simplest thing, even just suddenly waking up one day and you are in pain from it. Hopefully the soreness eases up for you soon. Try to not sit directly on the tailbone if at all possible.

Does the pain alleviate while sitting or walking?

I have to do sit-ups on a bench cause if I do them on the floor it HURTS ~ an its my tailbone. I have no idea what caused it.

The pain stays the same sitting or walking, Leaning back in my chair and putting my feet up seems to help, as I"m not sitting directly on it.

It hurts a little when I bend over. Mostly it's just SORE.

My doctor friend says that I likely pinched a nerve when I moved funny, and it should feel better in a couple of days.
