i eat around 1600-1900 net calories a day. now in my last post most people told me this is not enough to be in a bulk stage. however i have gained 2lbs in a month!!! if i am not eating enough to be bulking and am eating at a deficit then why am i gaining weight? (my bodybugg says i burn on average 2700 cals a day and i work out 6 days a week)

Yea certainly not bulking if you are not in a calorie surplus. Could be a lot of things. Is that just in one weigh in? Or has it been steadily increasing?0

it has been increasing since i started eating more and lifting more. (about 2 months)0

I find weekly weighins fluctuate too much to be reliable, so monthly comparisons are a little more solid.
Having said that, Id' think 1500-1600 calories for someone like you, being that active would be enough to LOSE weight....1900-2000 depending on your activity would be near maitenence.
It really depends on which of those you're closer to every week. I'd think staying around 2000+ a bit would be your best bet, and along with that, tracking your lifts would be a good indicator of if youre gaining muscle/strength. As long as they're going up weekly, I'd be happy. If you're struggling to add weight, or increase reps it could be a sign youre not resting or eating enough.
Sometimes the scale isn't the only thing you need to go by. This may be one of those cases. Also, make sure you weigh yourself at the same time of day, in the same state (not eaten or drank yet for the day) for the most accurate results.
Check an online calculator to get a better idea of how much you should be eating a day, but I'd think 2000ish +0 -
You are going for muscle mass, eating a good amount of protein...barring your clothes not fitting I would say you are building muscle mass. Are you using body measurement, clothing fit as well as the dreaded scale?!0

Oh, lastly , and this may be dumb...but you're gonna gain fat for sure, but you seem to be doing your best to minimize that, which is good.
So in a few months time, you'll have to cut again (lose weight/fat while trying to preserve muscle) to better show the muscle you gained.
It's a long process (a few processes actually), but worthwhile for sure.0 -
If you are increasing your food intake then you are going to have an increase of food going through your GI tract - increasing weight slightly.
If you increased your carb intake you will also have a little water weight gain0
