So...on occasion I forget to bring my lunch and sometimes have to buy it. Since I have a variety of things around me, I always choose something healthy...aka subway. Sometimes I get a salad from ths place called the Lettuce Eatery...it's like a buffet for salads..haha..you can pick anything and everything to put on your salad. I figured, it's probably a super healthy option. I usually get a spring mix salad with 1/2 a serving of balsamic dressing, cranberries,cucumber,feta and sunflower seeds. Well, I haven't had it since I started on here and so when I went to put in my caloric intake I went on the website and it lets you pick what you eat and then tells you the calories.....WELL, (some of you may know where this is going) you can imagine my shock when a salad came out to 538 calories!!!!!! when i only get 1200...that SUCKS. What was the culprit? cause there was 1....the SUNFLOWER SEEDS!The salad itself was only 360 calories,until I added the sunflower seeds!!!! Learn something new every day I guess!!!!! OUCH! So I just thought since I'm relatively new, I would pass on what I have learned today........

Sunflower seeds are really good for you, they help keep your arteries clean. How much do you normally take to get that many calories? Maybe just lighten up on them, a tablespoon if you can measure them that way at the salad bar.0

I lnow sunflower seeds (in the shell) is a fave snack of mine!!0

Hmmm...well...you tell them what you want and they put it on for you.........i guess the best option is to TRY and not forget my lunch!hahaha.....or ya..maybe I could ask for 1/2 the serving...that could work!!! I usually make the salad myself at home and measure it better so I guess thats why I never noticed before.0

Or take a container and ask the assistant to put half in your container and you can add this to your dinner:laugh:
