I preplan my diary when I can, realizing it could change throughout the day on days I work especially. But the question is, just how much is it ok to go over on protein???? I don't remember what med web site I was on that said too much is not good. That balanced diet is key.

I focus first on calories and then on saturated fats. I would not worry if you go over a bit on protein. Just don't go over a lot all the time. Balance is key. Balance over a period of time, not just daily.0

I understand a maximum of 1 gramme protein per pound of bodyweight is generally acceptable.0

I get 120g minimum a day! :] Hard to get too much really xD0

Protein is hard on your kidneys, but I used to get about 100g a day.0

I agree balance is key but a little over once in a while is not going to hurt.0

Assuming everything else is reasonably balanced, "too much" would be any amount that put you over your calorie goal for the day.0

MFP sets protein fairly low, so i wouldnt worry if you are over.0

This will help you understand better and calculate the protein you need.

You can adjust your intake by going to MYHOME>GOALS>CHANGE GOALS>CUSTOM There, you can put in your 50/30/20.0
