How bout sharin with me some or your dinners that "don't" include the above? I already know a million ways to fix those with something but I need something that will give me protein, carb, vegie and whatever else I can fit in:laugh: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I was planning my dinner and snacks by the way, and came here to find something new:wink:

I also eat a variety of beans and grains. Plain beans, beans with brown rice, beans salads w/ vegies. Grains (brown rice, kasha, quinoa, barley) with vegetables as salads or pilafs...
whole grain pasta with tomato sauce or ratatouille
lentils and brown rice cook the same amount of time with the same amount of water--yummy!

i like turkey sausage and turkey bacon. i like to make breakfast for dinner:

eggs x 2 (if i have extra calories i add a 1/2 stick of light string cheese)(if i have veggies, i add those too)
    wheat bread x 2
    turkey sausage or turkey bacon

sometimes i put the eggs on the bread and make a little egg sandwich. ive had this the past 3 nights so i suppose i should have something different tonight.

How about Turkey dinner...you have left overs for at least 2-4 days-
day 1- full cooked dinner- portion control
day 2- hot turkey sandwich and baked fries- use less gravey and 1 slice of bread and count your fries based on the package
day 3- Turkey soup lots of veggies..
day 4 turkey with the remaining veggies (veggies cut up fried in olive oil -very little oil)

Healthy meals and it will probably cost in total $18-22 for 4 meals.
  • Turkey burgers, turkey meatballs or meatloaf muffins are all on here if you use the search option.

We're having jambalaya for dinner tonight. With the turkey sausage I'm adding, it will be about 350-400 calories for a ginormous jambalay serving of 2 cups. Yup... I like the way ginormous jambalaya sounds! It'll be high on the sodium (using Zatarain's mix), but I've been careful all day, and will still be under 2500.
