Hi everyone: My baby is 4 months old and I am now getting back into shape. I only have 5 pounds to go until I am at my pre-pregnancy weight, but I need to tone up my stomach. How many times a week did you work your abs? I am currently doing lots of cardio (training for a 5k in March) so I am out running 4 times a week and in between that I do weights (Ripped). Does anyone have any recommendations on what worked for them after baby? I really need your help!:smooched:

  • Congratulations on your new baby! :flowerforyou: Pilates definitely helped me tone my tummy after my kids. Just 15-20 minutes a day after my cardio made a huge difference!

Pilates is great for your tummy. There are tones of videos out there that you can use for this if you don't have a gym near by that offers classes. I recommend only working your abs every other day. That way your muscles have some time to rebuild. When you do toning exercises you actually tear your muscles a little and it is good to let them heal before you damage them again.

    good luck

I keep seeing people saying that 30 day shred is really good with Jillian Michaels.. do you think this would do the trick?

I've been doing 30 day shed (only about a week so far), and I'm seeing results already. For only 20 minutes, it's definitely doing something good. I don't do much else for cardio either, except a little extra walking.
