so my goal is 20lbs. I currently weigh 175... I really want to lose 15-20lbs preferably, but really my goal is to get rid of some body fat and look leaner. At first my goal was pretty high at 2lbs per week, then after reading the forums I realized I need to change that... but I keep coming across different answers to this question. So for someone like me who wants to lose 15-20lbs, how much is recommended per week? If you say 0.5lbs, that means its going to take 40 weeks to lose 20lbs?! Can you explain why this is important for me and anyone else with similar questions.

1 lb per week is completely fine unless you are extremely low in body fat and can hit all of your macro/micro nutritional needs.0

I'll try 1lb per week and see how that works0
