They are so stressful! Trying to figure out who is getting together where... and what to take to so and so's house.. Having to manage your time to make sure you go everywhere you are suppose to!

I sometimes wish that I could celebrate Thanksgiving or Christmas or Mothers Day with just my husband and kids and not have to worry about my parents and siblings.. or his parents and siblings.

Right now I'm trying to figure out how we're going to do Thanksgiving... they both want to do it at the same time. Then we have my sister in law to consider too, what time HER inlaws are doing their feast.. gah!

Anyone else?

l know how you feel. My dad, my mom, and my inlaws all live a hour and half apart from each other. One year I drove a hour and half to my dads, then a hour and half to my moms, then another hour and half to my inlaws (in the same city I live in). It can be stressful. I think we are going to only do one house this year, which is a plus for my weight loss.
  • Why not have Thanksgiving one year with his parents and the next year with yours? Or you could always just do it at your house and invite everyone there?

I wish I had this problem. Being military and in a town with no family sucks, especially around this time of the year. Hope you work things out where everyone is happy.

Because feelings would be hurt. My mom and my husband's mom are .. sensitive. So if we skip out we will definitley hear it from both of them! Not to mention my brother and sister, LOL

It is a good problem to have..lol.. but sometimes I just want to spend it with my little family and not have to worry about anyone else... sometimes I want to be selfish. I never am, we always figure out a way to make it everywhere. Even if it is just for a while.

I love the holidays but hate the disappointment.
