Hello All -
I recently joined a gym after a very long hiatus. I have been going for about 3 weeks but other than jumping on the treadmill for 30 minutes and doing some copy cat Jillian Michael ab & strength moves, that’s about it. Don't think I can keep that up much longer without getting bored. So, anyone out there have suggestions or follow some routine at the gym that can maximize my time and would care to share would be greatly appreciated! I have an hour of gym time.
Super Thanks!

I have been mixing it up lately. Some time on the treadmill, a little time on the bike and a little bit more on the elliptical but not every day. I mix it up because I was getting bored and didn't want to go. I also stopped doing so many machines and started doing floor work. I try to change it up daily. Good Luck!0

Does your gym do classes? Maybe you should look into that, they're a good way to stay motivated. Maybe you could look into joining a running club or something. You could also walk or cycle to work xx0

I do at least a half hour of strength training for my arms and back, then at least a half hour on a cardio machine. Next day, legs and cardio. Oh and I do abs everyday. every doing 10 or 15 mins on one machine then moving on to another can keep things from getting routine.0

I have found that everyone has their idea of what "really" works. However, I think the key is to finding out what your goals are and tailoring a routine that will get you there and one that you will enjoy doing. If you want to add me as a friend I'd be happy to share some ideas with you.0

What breaks up the monotony for me is an app called Fitness Buddy on my iPad (or iPhone.) It has premade exercise routines, including descriptions and pictures. (No, I don't work for Fitness Buddy.)
It's not compatible with MFP, so you still have to enter your exercise stats in the MFP app, but you don't have to use the tracking features in Fitness Buddy.
My gym also has wi-fi, so I can watch Netflix or play Words with Friends.
Of course, that's all if you have the apps. If you don't, I don't have much else to say. If you haven't used some of the machines, you could jump on and try them, just to do something different. You never know, you might find one you like.0
