Chocolate & Nut Butter Bites

Makes 4 servings

ACTIVE TIME: 5 minutes

EASE OF PREPARATION: Easy

8 1/4-ounce squares of bittersweet chocolate
4 teaspoons almond, cashew or pistachio butter

Top each chocolate square with 1/2 teaspoon nut butter of your choice (almond, cashew, pistachio).

NUTRITION INFORMATION: Per serving: 79 calories; 6 g fat (2 g sat, 1 g mono); 0 mg cholesterol; 9 g carbohydrate; 1 g protein; 1 g fiber; 12 mg sodium; 20 mg potassium.
What you get: Magnesium, copper, chromium.

Exchanges: 1/2 other carbohydrate, 1 fat

    If you use dark chocolate...it will just hit the spot! I glanced at the post of yours when first opening it and thought? HUH?:noway: Dangeous! Ya had me laughing as soon as I realized what you really meant!:tongue::laugh:

    I was never a dark chocolate fan in the past but now I keep a bar of it in the freezer (85% cacao, with chili peppers..yea you heard that right, :tongue: nice zing to it!) and just break off a small square when I'm in the mood for something different.

    Sure comes in handy on the overwhelming PMS moments..that's for sure. Unlike milk chocolate which is much harder, I find:noway: to eat only one piece, there's just something different about the dark where you tend not to need more than one piece stuck on your tongue melting.:laugh:
