    HRM is definitely more reliable!

    HRM is more accurate. Also, keep in mind that consistency is more important than spot-on accuracy.

    Probably HRM unless you're on beta blockers or any medication that will slow the heart. In that case, a HRM is pretty much worthless. healthstatus.com has the most accurate calculator I've found. But they're all estimates at best.
  • thanks everyone! this is the first time I've ever used a HRM so I was curious as the numbers were very different!! I got a Polar FT7!
