A workout without pain?

My chiropractor is big on natural health, like me, so he is always giving me pointers. He told me to buy a heart rate monitor and when I workout to always keep my heart rate in the from 180-(age-10) to 180-age. For me this is 145 to 155. I have found at first it was harder to not go ABOVE the 155 than stay in the range, but as I go on I have to work harder to get and stay in this range.

The big thing I notice is I don't get tired after! I've never sweated so much in 20 minutes. I'm full of energy and never hit that "wall" I hate. I will see how it goes. :) Has anyone else heard of this? I thought it might be a good thing to mention to everyone.

Sounds like you're improving your stamina and endurance! I consider it a good thing to feel completely 'destroyed' after leaving the gym. Whether you're doing cardio and bolstering your VO2 max or simply swollen to the hilt from pumped muscles...With the right diet, you WILL recover and WILL improve over time.

I get the same type of feeling since I've joined the gym and can more accurately control my heart rate. The equipment at my gym all have lifesensor pads on them that you place your hands on to track your heart rate while doing cardio, it stays in my target zone, but I like, pour sweat and feel "high" afterwards. It's great.
