CRAP CRAP CRAP!
Here is my dilemma! I want to get a HRM with a built in calorie counter. I know they come in around the body, arm, and wrist…
WHAT DO THEY MAKE THEM OUT OF?
Are they Elastic? Plastic? Rubber? Are there some that are Velcro?
See, I am allergic to plastics, rubbers, elastic…etc. I need something that I don’t have to wear over cloth. I have to wear all my knee braces over my pants or I will break out in massive welts. I am just hoping that there is something out there in the world that will work for me and that is nicely priced, I work retail lol.
Do you have an idea of what I can do? Or should I just keep doing what I am doing and not worry about getting something like this. I mean I work out at least a 400-500 calorie min. with about a 1000 max. a day on an average day. I just feel like I am missing out on something if I don’t have this HRM.

Unfortunately, every one that I have seen (and I did a lot of looking before buying mine) has plastic or rubber that has contact with the skin (either at the wrist or on the chest) in order to read the user's heartbeat.0

Dang it! Thank you!0

It will take more work, but you can figure an estimate of calories burned manually without a heart rate monitor.

lol, thank you so much for providing me this information. I will have to look into it to see if it will help me with my want to know.
I am still in hope to find a HRM that might be a Velcro strap, or some sort of cloth that might help.0
