if you have regularly drank a fair way under your 3 litres/8 cups whatever of water per day how long do you think it would take to become rehydrated ? a few days of regularly having enough water or longer?

I'm pretty sure you could be rehydrated in about a day (maybe two) of regularly drinking enough water. It's not something your body stores - you have room for so much, it gets used, it gets peed out, you put in more, repeatXforever0

Not drinking it doesn't necessarily mean you are dehydrated. A lot of our water intake is contained in food. Listen to your body. Do you feel thirsty? The best measure is to check your urine. If it's dark you need more water, if it's light then you're well hydrated & don't need to crowbar in more water (drinking too much water is bad for you).0
