Shakeology Cleanse

Today I have started day one of the Shakeology three day cleanse. I decided to do the cleanse because we are going on vacation beginning Saturday and I wanted to flush out bloat and detox before we leave.

I have been using Shakeology for a few months and have really enjoyed it. The main benefit I have seen is a MAJOR reduction in cravings...my willpower is much better now. This will be my first Shakeology cleanse.

I am doing a light workout during my three day cleanse - 30 min of cardio in the morning along with ab work, pushups, and steps.

So far I am feeling great. I have done my workout, had my morning green tea, drank my shake, had an apple for a mid-morning snack and have drank 48 oz of water so far (9:40 a.m.)

Of course I have to be in a lunch meeting with pizza today so this will be a true testament to my willpower!!

Any words of encouragement? Tips from people who have done the cleanse? Any positive or negative side effects? Any feedback from people who have done this cleanse is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

Tiffany

What exactly are you "detoxing" from your body?

Once you get past the first day you will be fine...you will find that you won't even be hungry. I did make sure I kept a banana on hand for that 3 o'clock pre-dinner snack, just in case!

But good luck to you girl. I lost 5lbs when I did it and I didn't gain any of it back at all. :) And that was with me not working out. I am actually doing it again tomorrow :)

I did the cleanser before starting to use shakeology as breakfast and I lost 4 pounds.
I'm using it now on a daily basis for breakfast, I love it.
It really stop my cravings, specially for chocolate, gives me more energy and stop my migraine
No side efects while doing the cleanser
    Good luck

Sodium for sure...toxins from processed foods.

Sodium is not a toxin, the body has it's own mechanism for keeping a proper sodium/potassium balance. As far as any "toxins," the body cleanses itself.

You'll lose water weight because of carbohydrate restriction, nothing more. Any loss of fat will be because you consumed less calories.

^^ His point is to inform you that "cleanses" are not necessary. You have organs in your body that "detoxifies" you. Namely the liver.

This. Unless your goal is a lighter wallet, Shakeology is great for that.

I guess I was asking more for support from people who have tried the cleanse, etc. Not negativity about whether or not any one particular person feels if it is neccesary.

    Thanks again though.

^^Is this not what you said? I'm not trying to be negative, but it's not necessary. Not my opinion ...its biology...but spend your money how you like

Once again thank you, I appreciate your feedback but I don't think your feedback is useful or neccesary to me.

    Thanks again!!

I would count "not wasting your money" as a tip/encouragement.

I think the responses have been rather appropriate.

I'm not sure why I even use the forums...there is not much encouragement or support and most people seem snide or combative unless you agree with them.

Thank you for the few useable responses I received. They are much appreciated!

I think the responses have been rather appropriate.

Can you tell me how they have been appropriate or helpful? They have been bashing what I am doing and somewhat downright rude. I was asking for useable feedback from people who have done the cleanse. Not asking to be told not to do it or that I am wasting my money. I can make my own decisions about what I choose to do or what I feel is beneficial for me. I was just asking for guidance from people who have done what I am doing. I don't believe the majority of the responses were A. Words of Encouragement B. Tips from people who have done the cleanse. C. Speaking of any positive or negative side effects or D. Feedback from people who have done the cleanse. To be clear my question was not "Do you think I should do this?" If I wanted that opinion I would have asked, I had obviously already decided to do it!

The main thing that came out of it was a bunch of "opinions" and a waste of my time...and each time I was bashed I was very polite and said thank you and some people felt like they had to keep commenting even after that. Not sure what the point was. If you don't agree with it, keep it to yourself!

To the OP, i did Shakeology but only lasted 1 shake lol! My friend has had success on it, and did the detox part of the diet and liked it. I did the juice cleanse that worked awesome before surgery! I lost a quick 7 lbs :) Good luck and have a fun vacation!

You have to get Shakeology through Beachbody.com.

I have been using it for several months and really enjoy it. I like the taste and it keeps me full. I also have been able to cut way back on the supplements I take because of the nutritional contents of it. I have honestly also noticed a drastic reduction in my cravings. *Just as a disclaimer I am not a beachbody coach of any kind, this is just my personal feedback.*

I am doing ok so far. I have had two shakes, two cups of green tea, and about 96 oz of water.

I get to eat a salad for dinner with greens, 4 oz chicken or fish, and light dressing (I am using oil and vinegar). I will also have one last shake after that.

I do not feel tired, I do not have a headache. I am slightly "hungry" but I will be eating my salad within an hour. All in all I feel that it will be a successful three days!

    Hey Gang,

I have done the 3 Day Shakeology cleanse a few times. I generally try to do it once a quarter. I've never been hungry while doing it and I make sure I am still eating something every 3 hours or so. It is usually a piece of fruit. I would however recommend to limit your exercise, because you will be reducing your caloric intake. If you can handle 30 mins of cardio go for it, most importantly listen to your body.

Thanks!! I did not excercise this morning but I think I will tomorrow morning. I am down 2.6 lbs from yesterday...yes, I know it is water weight but it is still super exciting and encouraging. I was not overly hungry and have not had any negative side effects thus far. Excited to see what tomorrow and Saturday's weigh-in will bring!!!

I just want to say that I have been using Shakeology for 1yr, daily. I have dropped 4pts on my cholesterol labs. I have way more energy than before. I have done the cleanse 2 day and 3 day both times I lost small amts of weight, but felt so much better. I have hyothyroidism so it is hard at times to lose. I am not a beachbody coach either. I love shakeology!!!

Good Job Tiffany, keep up the good work!!!
