NSV Frustration. Smaller waist, bigger neck...

...it looks terrible when you're trying to wear a suit!

I'm a 17.5'' neck (no change), 32/33'' sleeve, 38-40 suit (haven't measured my suit in a while, but my 44 suit is kinda a tent now), and 32 pant (down from 36).

My button down shirt sleeves are HUGE at the shoulder, in addition to being just plain big. But I cannot go down a shirt size, as my neck is still large... For a 5'7'' guy with a 32 waist, size 16 shirts look better. Gotta be patient about the neck, though.

Any tips, you suit wearing weight winners?

Be good to yourself and invest in a couple of custom made shirts.

I agree - have them tailored to fit you and you'll feel so much better!

Agreed or have your current shirts tailored, it's an inexpensive fix while your body is changing

Dress clothes are made for the out of shape majority. When you get an athletic/muscular build, suit buying becomes hell.

Good advice all! Thanks! Another NSV today: I bought a pair of swim trunks at the start of summer, and they were "snug." My belly was falling over the top of the trunks. While there's still a bit of belly, the trunks actually feel a bit loose :-D.
