How many calories do you think this burned off?

I just carried my 14 pound baby in a baby carrier and picked up groceries which I carried on my back (they weighed 12 pounds). I walked for about 30 minutes in total. Any guesses on how many calories I burned as I don't have a HRM yet

that depends on a ton of factors. the shape you are in, your Body Fat %, your size, your age, how fast you were walking...etc

there's really no way to know without knowing your heart rate at a minimum, better to get a Heart Rate Monitor, as these tell you in no uncertain terms, what you burn in a given time period.

I was going to say that, but I thought it was easier just to type in a number, give her something to go with.

I agree it depends on a lot of different factoirs..I tend not to add in my regular daily activities as excercise...because when Im not excercising I have a very light lifestyle....I may go shopping play with kids or even shovel but I didnt want to put that towards my excercise for the day..

HA! you should say 42, then if they look at you funny, refer them to the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.

Its the answer to the question "What's the meaning of life."

LOL. You never read the Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy? Oh man.

Classic, right up there with War & Peace and Catcher in the Rye

I've seen the movie, does that count? That was a while ago though, I don't remember much of it.

Better then nothing I guess. remember the big computer? It spouted out 42 after a millenia of thinking about it.

Now that you mention the comupter I do remember that. They built it to figure the meaning of life right.
