This may have been asked before so forgive me but I can't find any reference or "HOW TO" for this website.

So I was just entering a new recipe and noticed that you can share a recipe. I did this. Now how do you look up or search others recipes on MFP?

I may be wrong, but I think the recipe database isn't available yet. They still need to collect enough recipes.
  • This is what is says when you say that you'd like to submit it:

"We are currently accepting submissions to the MyFitnessPal recipe database. Once we receive enough submissions, we'll create a recipe section where users can browse recipes submitted by other members. Until then, you can To submit your recipe to the database, please provide the following additional information."

It sounds like the database it not yet operable.

I can find the nutritional information on some peoples recipes, but the actual ingredient list, I have not found.

I completely missed that paragraph. Then I guess we should submit more recipes and hopefully soon we'll have a database. It is the only thing MFP is missing before I can say "I like it even more now"
  • I agree. It would help to have some healthy meal ideas and how to make them.

In the meantime, there is a Group called "Recipe Swap" that has a lot of good recipes, instructions and most people post the nutritional information as well.

A couple of sites with good recipes for MFP that you might try are http://www.skinnytaste.com/ or http://aimeesadventures.com

Thank you for those suggestions! Skinnytaste is a great site. I guess that could be a "quick add" food.

I joined the recipe group and I'm excited that there are many members there.

I can't wait though for the recipe database feature of this site.
